Learn more about the community, upcoming adventures, and how to connect with PR Melanin Adventures. “What actually happens at SanSe?” SanSe is one of Puerto Rico’s biggest cultural celebrations, filling the streets of Old San Juan with music, dancing, parades, local food, artisans, live entertainment, and nonstop festival energy. With Puerto Rico Melanin Adventures, SanSe is only part of the experience—we’re also planning island adventures, night kayaking, beach time, and other Puerto Rico excursions. “Can I come by myself?” Absolutely! Solo travelers are welcome. You may arrive solo, but you’ll be experiencing Puerto Rico with a group of travelers ready to explore, celebrate, and make new connections. It’s a great option if you’ve been waiting for the right group trip to finally visit Puerto Rico. “What does my deposit secure?” Your $100 deposit locks in your spot for SanSe 2027 and gets you started toward the full trip experience. It also allows you to take advantage of the available payment plan instead of paying for the entire trip at once. Spaces are limited, so your deposit is what moves you from “thinking about it” to officially joining the adventure. “Do I need to know Spanish?” No. You do not need to speak Spanish to join the trip. Puerto Rico is bilingual, and English is widely spoken in many tourist areas. Knowing a few Spanish phrases can make the experience even more fun, but it is definitely not a requirement. “When should I buy my flight?” Wait until you receive the official flight and arrival information from Puerto Rico Melanin Adventures before purchasing your ticket. Our trip dates are January 20–25, 2027, so you’ll want your flight schedule to work with the group itinerary. Once flight guidance is provided, booking earlier usually gives you more choices for departure times and pricing. We will hold a booking Seminar. “What happens after I register?” Once you register, you’ll receive the next steps for SanSe 2027, including payment information, trip updates, important deadlines, packing and travel guidance, and details leading up to departure. As the trip gets closer, we’ll make sure you know what to expect so you can arrive ready to enjoy Puerto Rico.
